Good Luck Caitlyn

Our very own Jody Allen, Stay At Home Mum’s owner and founder, has been on a media blitz following the phenomenal success of her Facebook page, website and first published book, Once A Month Cooking. But Stay At Home Mum is not the only fantastic Australia-wide sensation to originate from Gympie.

Caitlyn Shadbolt is a beautiful, sweet-hearted small town girl that is wowing Australia with her musical talents, and doing Gympie proud. Graduating from Gympie High in 2012, Caitlyn’s amazing talents as a musician and entertainer have seen her perform at numerous events, and receiving huge accolades and encouragement from fans all over the country.

Her Gympie-grown talents have finally seen her all the way to the small screen, with her auditioning for the X-Factor last night. If you missed Caitlyn’s performance, or just want to see it again, here it is:

The judges reinforced what Gympie folk have known about Caitlyn for a long time. Her confidence, energy and authenticity lit up the stage, with Ronan Keating even citing she could be the ‘next big thing in country music’, just what Australia needs. Congratulations on your performance and your 4 big ‘yes’s’ from the judges, Caitlyn! Good luck at Bootcamp!
