At the end of a busy, stressful day it is wonderful to be able to lock yourself in the bathroom and sink into a warm bath with a glass of wine and a book (preferably once the kids have gone to bed!). Here’s a few Aromatherapy Bath Recipes you can make at home to add to your bath to make it a truly luxurious and relaxing experience! (It is strongly advised that pregnant women and anyone with serious health conditions should consult a qualified natural therapist/aromatherapist or health professional before using any essential oils as they may have serious adverse effects.) They make wonderful gift ideas too (most of these recipes have a shelf life of about 3 weeks).

  • Mix all ingredients in medium bowl, transfer to a sterilised jar or container. To use, add 2-4 tablespoons to warm running bath water.

Lavender & Honey Milk Bath

  • 10 drops Lavender essential oil
  • 1 1/2 cups Whole milk (long life milk is cheaper!)
  • 1/3 cup Honey
  • Mix together lavender oil, milk and honey in a bowl, then pour into a jar. Before each use, shake the jar and pour half of the mixture into the bath. Store covered in the refrigerator for up to 1 week. You can get 2 baths from this mixture.
