Filling the supermarket shelves at night when your children are safely tucked into bed and hubby is home each night can be a welcome time to yourself as well as earning you a little extra cash, while still being able to stay home and look after your children every day.
Night fill is simple shelf filling at night time in the supermarket.
The place is quiet you work alone albeit amongst others and is a casual position you get paid causal rates of upwards of $20 an hour.
My small Woolworths store only does 3 nights a week and 4 hours a night from 6pm but larger stores will do 6 or 7 nights.
At $20 an hour that is $240 a week you can earn just for working evenings.
You are casual so while getting a good rate you are also free to ring up and let the boss you won’t be in today as one of the kids are sick, and the other great bonus is you will get given a discount card for the store or chain after the initial trial period.
At woolworths this is a 5% discount on their store and chain of other stores too. This is a great incentive for a family.
Night fill is also a great place to start in the store while your children are smaller and can lead to a better position within the store when they go off to school.
You are fully trained in store and don’t need any qualifications. You will also be paid for your time to attend these training sessions. What could be better.
The one thing is you need someone at home to look after the children so if hubby is a shift worker this probably won’t work for you.
If this is something you think might appeal to you go to your local store and lodge an application with your local supermarket, it is that simple. Good luck.
