Sometimes you just don’t have time for a decent sit down breakfast in the morning.  Here are some super quick and filling Breakfast Smoothies you can enjoy on the run which are healthy and will give you a boost!

Banana Almond Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 2 bananas
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice
  • 3/4 cup low fat vanilla yoghurt
  • 1/3 cup raw almonds
  • dash of nutmeg

Blend together with a handful of ice.  Serves two.  Very filling.

Banana and Oat Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup skim milk
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 banana
  • 60 grams rolled oats

Blend together with a handful of ice.  The oats give it a lovely thick texture and is very good for you.

Weetbix Smoothie

Ingredients:

  • 1 Weetbix biscuit
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup skim milk
  • 1/2 cup yoghurt
  • 1 teaspoon Milo
  • 2 teaspoons honey

Blend for two minutes, then add some ice and blend for a further minute.  Serves two.

Super Breakfast in a Cup

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups skim milk
  • 1 banana
  • 1 whole egg
  • 1 Weetbix biscuit
  • 1/2 cup vanilla yoghurt
  • 1 tablespoon LSA
  • 1 teaspoon malted milk powder

Blend well with some ice cubes.  Should take you through until lunch time!
