Well, this recipe for homemade yoghurt will make you want to do so!

It’s not just about the taste. You get to create your own flavour and you can control the ingredients! It is also a great way of saving money.

This simple recipe makes for a delicious yoghurt. Add whatever fruit you have on hand or any other flavour for something a little different.

Method

  1. Place the milk and powder in a microwave proof casserole dish and stir well.

  2. Cook on high for 7 minutes and cool until warm.

  3. Stir in the yoghurt and pour into a thermos flask.

  4. Replace the top and let it stand overnight.

  5. Shake the yogurt out into a sealed container and chill.

Recipe Hints and Tips:

  • Add any flavourings you desire, stewed fruits or honey.
  • Keep 1 tablespoon aside for your next batch.
