Bed wetting alarm

Answered 4 years ago

My daughter has got hers finally, she's about to turn 10 and never been dry. No matter what we tried. If you have used an alarm for your child how long did it take to work? It's for 8 weeks. She's also on medication for over active bladder. Hoping it can work before the 8 weeks for her!

I had success with one myself when I was 8yrs old and I tried the system again for my then 6yr old son. For my son I used the parenting garden system and it took 2wks, my friend borrowed it and same success on her 5yr old that took 3 wks..a client I work for had a different alarm system and that didn't work..maybe the child maybe the system but I highly recommend at least researching parenting garden, good luck to her x

My sister wet the bed until she was 17.
She had medication and a continence nurse and a bed wet alarm. Nothing helped

We lasted a week with the alarm, it was horrible. The whole household were tired and grumpy. I'm not one for alternative therapies but decided to take my daughter to bowen therapy and it had been mentioned a few times to us. Results were instantaneous, by the third treatment she had been dry 10 nights in a row.
Would totally recommend it even if you're like me and don't usually believe in these airy fairy holistic kind of things.

My sister had one.
It never worked.
It got to the point where she was so used to it, she started sleeping through the alarm and it would wake everyone else up instead of her and my parents would have to come and wake her up and turn it off.
I'm not really sure how it's expected to work? Because it goes off after they have wet the bed anyway, it's not teaching them to get up before they are about to pee.
