Negative pregnancy test at 5 days late.

Answered 4 years ago

I am 20 years old and I am now 7 days late on my period and tested at 5 days late(negative). I was so confused because although it was not planned , I was convinced I am pregnant because I have had symptoms worsening by the day . I have been nauseous and It has made me skip meals that I normally would gobble down. I have sad a dry throat and been extremely exhausted With heat flushes occasionally . My breasts have been sore and I have been Period cramping with no period , as well as cramps all over my belly(rather than period cramps). It really worry’s me that something is wrong with me if I’m not pregnant. Sorry for the long post I’m a tad scared. Could I still be pregnant with a negative test at 5 days ?

I took 6 different pregnancy tests and they were all negative. I was 5 weeks along at this time. Don't spend any more money on tests, see your GP, they can do a blood test and that will give you an actual result.

I had the same symptoms except faint positives this month. Took 5 weeks to get positives. So its possible you could still be pregnant. Sadly my positive ended in a mc.

My advice is to re test in a few days if no period. If atill negative I would see your gp. All the best.

Don’t worry that something is wrong yet. Do another test first thing of a morning. If it shows negative, book to see your doctor for a blood test. Sometimes your hormone levels aren’t high enough to pick up on a HPT. Good luck
