I don't allow games consoles in my house. I've seen them suck people in & as adults they game instead of live in the real world!
Mine (6&3) play Lego, outside, toys, imaginative play, we go to parks, museums swimming lessons & read. We do allow tv but don't encourage it.

My kids don't play video games at all.
They play outside, help me with gardening, ride their bikes or scooters, pay with the dog or inside they do crafts, read books, do puzzles, dress up, do Lego, or play together with their siblings.
Occasionally they watch a movie but I limit screen time and I don't see myself allowing them any video games anytime soon, if ever.

My boy loves playing on the Xbox with his online mates. My girl loves crafty stuff, rearranging her bedroom, reading, writing and watching movies. If the house is tidy and chores are done I let them do what they like. They are quiet, I love it.

We have no screen games during a school week unless it's eggs words or school related. They are limited to a half hour a day on the wkend and school holidays if they even play at all. They have a big lego collection, hotwheels cars and tracks, trains and tracks, board games, army games (they each have a bag full of army men, tanks etc), remote control cars, kites, bikes, treetops, play with the neighbours, nerf wars...

Read, draw and write mostly. Play with their "collections" (literally just bags of random crap). And bicker. They looooove bickering.

Mine dont play video games at all, not because i dont allow it, they just dont seem interested. Instead they, scoot, play, jump on trampoline, climb trees, read, watch tv, cook, draw, do crafty stuff, play with kids on the street, i’ll usually take them out every other day somewhere, but im also happy for them to be bored.

If you want your kids off the video games you will have to initiate that, they wont just decide to do something else if they are addicted.

Read, shoot hoops, play handball, ride scooters/ bikes, listen to music, play boardgames, paint/ draw, do giant puzzles, cook, kick the footy/ soccer ball, play the guitar...I am pretty strict with technology. I find if they play it to often or spend to much time on devices they turn into grumpy little turds, with terrible attitudes. My eldest plays the PlayStation once a week of he has been good for about an hour, my other child rarely plays it at all.
