Screaming really loud...yup I was that crazy lady in labour lol.
I don't know why, but when I was going through transition, I felt like if I screamed it would get the pain out of me?!

Yeah I did this but I was the only one in that night at that hour and the midwife told me off, cos if I put as much effort I to pushing apparently l could just ‘have the baby’ still to this day I’m livered by those comments. Surely as a midwife you’d understand the pain a woman’s going through in a 1 hour birth start to finish with nothing not even gas :(

I was one of the lucky ones who didnt have any pain or discomfort during labour. I was quite relaxed, so much so I slept during my 1st labour until I was woken up to push.

I was one of those ‘lucky’ ones who had really quick births. I’d go from being fine to pushing out the baby within an hour. While I was waiting for my partner to get home from work I would basically run up and down the stairs. So picture a heavily pregnant lady in labour running up and down her stairs at the front of their house - not stopping and then suddenly just jumping into their partners car as soon as he got home. My neighbour saw me doing it with my youngest and he asked me what was going on - I just casually said oh I’m in labour, waiting for *partners name* to get home so we can go have the baby 🤷‍♀️ He was 70+years old, he was like oh okay love. Then went and got his wife who sat with me (while I was still running up the stairs) until my partner got there 😂

The end of that story just made my heart melt. What a lovely couple to care enough not only to ask what was happening but for her to come and sit with you too.

They were the best. We’ve moved now but we still go and visit them to catch up. Honestly the most lovely couple and the best neighbours we could have asked for ☺️

Gas. I was sucking that stuff down like it was oxygen lol. It only sort of worked. I wanted to get in the big birthing tub the 2nd time around but it was over and done with that quickly they didn't have time to fill it.
