No air conditioning, but a Dyson blower heater, and its marvelous. Heats areas very quickly, and I put the ceiling fan on low (winter setting, so it moves air downwards, so brings the heat that has risen down again).
Very safe, as no ,moving parts, or hot parts a child can burn themselves on, and very efficient.
They are expensive, but well worth it in my opinion.

The Dyson is very efficient on electricity.
Has a fantastic fan that blows the heated air out very fast and strong, then the ceiling fans keep circulating the warmth.
I have not needed air con for cooling as I live in an old Queenslander close to the coast, and they are well designed for air flow. So ceiling fans have been sufficient.
Even the windows in Queenslanders are designed to capture the air and funnel it through the house.

I also get a sea breeze that starts like clockwork between 11am or 1pm, every day, right through summer, except for maybe 5 days during that time.
The ceiling fans are all I have needed, but I must say I found the really hot days last summer very trying.
So I am considering getting air con this year.
