The key here is that you go to a “good private School”. I’m the op and I work at those good private schools, I know that the teachers feel a lot of pressure to keep the kids learning and achieving goals, And parents can put pressure on because they pay for a service. I feel you have missed the point of my post.

They are paying for a service and when paying 30k absolutely thy will if unhappy. It's a business

And perhaps we can agree that the ‘business’ focus is exactly what is wrong with schools these days.

I will just clarify that this isn’t a homework issue. This is an issue about the teacher saying they will do many things but not. In and outside the classroom. She has promised the kids something every day for months, and keeps putting it off because she is unorganised. We get no information on anything. My child could be failing or learning nothing and I would know. My child also was told these tests don’t matter. It is more complicated because I know the other teacher teaching the same age, is doing a terrific job(we had her last year. I finally got my hands on a book and it was riddled with errors, spelling list errors- ticked off as correct by the teacher. I agree It may be good to cc the principal in, but I don’t want to escalate..l feel principal is very defensive and will likely be unhelpful. It’s great to do co corruular, but I don’t think my kids should be at school all day, exhausted, and not really learning anything.. (kid has said this).
