I have had a few. Definitely one with a docking station is better. My current one needs plugging in. It is rarely charged when I need it. Other than that I have no issues with brands.

I have a Roomba and I love it. I still vacuum my floors but inbetween the vacuums it keeps my floors clean enough.

I got the roomba when they first came out. I wasn't impressed. They don't hold much, so you're emptying it a lot. It can only do small areas unless you get all the extras. And it got hung up under the couch all the time so it wouldn't end up getting anything done. I would gove it a second chance, but in a more open floor plan.
