When my teens are asleep I go through their social media - sometimes I defriend or block people - the people are not real or low on their priority so they don’t even notice. I told my 13 yr old son about it I said you know blah from primary school she was posting about suicide so I blocked her - he sad yeah she’s weird ok. He didn’t care that I looked that was one of our conditions. There was also an older guy with girls in bikinis I said do you know him he said nope I said block that - and he did. He has other girls that he knows in bikinis but he knows them so that’s fine. My daughter no issues there.

Oh and a good tip tell them you get a liat of every page they visit so you know what they are doing. Makes them think twice before googling something.

Yes! My teenage kids have instagram. We follow each other (my condition) I monitor their friends list, their posts and comments. If I see anything inappropriate I’m onto it. It’s our job to make sure they don’t get caught up in anything shady or unsafe. So far I haven’t had to ask any of them to deactivate their accounts. Hope it stays that way 🤷🏻‍♀️
