NSW schools

Answered 4 years ago

So I'm an essential worker, my husband technically isn't but works at home with machinery to dangerous for kids to be running around amongst. My kids school (a small school in the bush far away from the virus) has said absolutely no kids at school unless BOTH parents are essential workers. Yet the government website said although they prefer children to stay at home, no child will be turned away from school.
Can the school do this? Do they have the right to turn my kids away if I'm the only essential worker? I have to work all week, i can't stuck with kids.

A private school can, not a public school as far as I’m aware. What is yours?
