My past has come back to haunt me

Answered 5 years ago

I have no idea what to do.

12 years ago I was suspended from work cause I breached confidentiality in public and obviously someone heard me and knew where I worked.

Now I went to apply for DCSI and was rejected 🙅‍♀️ cause of one incident
I am in tears 😭

That sucks. Dont get me wrong, I could lecture you on the obvious part where you did the wrong thing but 12 years is a long time. Might be time to consider a new profession

It's ok, just re train and find something that doesn't require a dcsi. If it's for volunteering in your kids class you can still listen to your own child read.

I gathered that, but in what capacity? Was she a doctor discussing her patients, a tax agent discussing someones debts, a teacher telling shit she shouldn't to people she shouldnt? The nature of her role at the time interests me.
I had someone breach my confidentiality in a malicious way, and if this is the same situation, it'd be interesting to hear the other side of the story.
