Our parents live in different states to us, but if they were near us we'd probably invite them along haha. We'd trust them to maybe see things we haven't noticed and have down to earth opinions. We get along well with our parents though.

Mine might, for them I know that they are just interested in our lives and this is one way they show it. We are too independent for it to worry me, I know they're not trying to influence us in any way.

Never happened to me, but I’m sure if my MIL (who’s actually a realestate agent) lived in the same state as us she would be there with bells on. There’s no way I’d tell her we were going to an open inspection. I’m just lucky the in-laws live in the other side of the country and we only have to see them once if twice a year.

No. But my in laws definitely would if we told them because they think we can't possibly function without their unwanted advice, then they get pissed when it's ignored. They even tried to force us to inspect 3 bedroom properties in their street (we wanted 4). It is also in a flight path where planes almost scrape the roof when they come in to land!! hell no!!

So, we stopped telling them. Especially if we were interested as I think they'd arrange a private inspection.
