Christmas/Birthday Present Buying New Relationship

Answered 3 years ago

I don’t want to overstep the mark but my new partner has kids I get along with them well and would like to know if it is appropriate for me to purchase a gift for them to give him. He normally doesn’t receive a present from his kids but always ensure the kids buy a present for their mum

I’d buy something you can all do together. Example, a zoo pass. It’s a new relationship so maybe the buying of actual presents would be more appropriate next Xmas.

No. That’s the mums job. Buy something from you that he can use with his kids.
