How old is your dishwasher?
Answered 4 years ago
My previous one lasted five years, now this one has died at 5 years. It’s an expensive Bosch so I thought it would last longer than five years. Any recommendations on a good one?

Everything these days is so disposable. A dishwasher that lasts 5/6 years is considered a good life span. 10 years on the other hand is ancient. They make them deliberately so you need to replace them much sooner than you'd like

Call bosch's bluff. There's a law about reasonable length of life. A higher end dishwasher should last longer. Out of warranty isn't the end of their responsibility (but they'll try).
I called Bosch and was very firm, and they repaired my washing machine twice - at 3 & 5 years old. The door clip broke. They told me I was supposed to wait 2 minutes after the wash finished to open the door. I called BS & said such an expensive machine shouldn't have a flimsy plastic door clip. They conceded.
The only thing to consider is that you have to pay the tech to assess it & if they accept the claim they'll reimburse you. If you're sure it's not from incorrect use it may be worth the call.
