I suppose not?
I was induced 2 weeks early with 1, and had to have my waters broken with 2.
So I guess that counts as intervention and not natural?

I have 4 kids.
#1 was born with gas and then epidural and suction failed so forceps delivery *ouch*
2,3,4 was completely drug free
# 3 and #4 were done and dusted in 5 hrs from start to finish
After #1 no way was I going thru that and that was because I had epidural which didnt wear off quick enough and she was
'also facing the other way (not breech) which they say is more painful as well. Plus being #1
Who can forget The ring of fire :P
It was actually really empowering and I wouldnt have it any other way. Didnt crack under pressure :0

Yes, both of mine. I had no choice, they were in too much of a hurry to get here to have anything. Both born within 15 minutes of getting to the hospital, my first we didn’t even make the delivery room as they assumed I wasn’t in active labour yet as I could walk and talk fine so he was born in the examination room 🤷‍♀️

My first was exactly the same. Within 14mins of being shown to the exam room. They hooked me up to monitor and were planning to give me something for the pain and send me home. Then my waters broke, checked me and were like oh you’re crowning, the baby is coming lol

Yep, I’ve had two.
First I was only really against an epidural but open to other pain meds. But I didn’t realise I was in labour. I actually posted in here 4yrs asking what early labour should feel like. And everyone kept saying I’d know, but since I wasn’t in that much pain I held off going to the hospital. When I finally went in to be checked bub was born within 14 minutes completely drug free.

Since I had such a great experience with my first, I decided to have another drug free with my now 5month old. Start to finish labour was 3hrs with 50mins of pushing. The pushing was the most painful part the pressure, but I did it completely natural :)

ANSWER

Yep! Completely natural, no drugs no intervention. 5 hours from start to finish. Was incredible.

ANSWER

Yes, not particularly by choice. I wasn’t offered any meds and once i asked it was too late. Quick labour, but effing painful. I didn’t think i would make it tbh

ANSWER

Yes. Not by choice. Both were too quick.
Second one though, stupid stand in obstetrician stabbed me internally with a local anaesthetic with no warning. It hurt more the labour. DH told me later he suspected OB was going to cut without permission but was watching & would have stopped him because he knew I was strongly against it. I still thank him for that!!

Second time round I had to get a few stitches and yeah, that anaesthetic needle was horrible!

I was contracting at the time he did it!! Only reason he stopped was baby was in a hurry & he had to get out of there fast. Didn't even have time to give the full injection. Peeved me because I didn't tear with either baby so it would've been unnecessary pain.

That reminds me of the needle to encourage the placenta to come out- in our antenatal classes we were told you'll be so wrapped up in your new baby you won't even notice it- I distinctly remember getting that jabbed in my thigh!

I don't remember it 😂. Do they give it to everyone? I thought the placenta came out on its own within the hour?

You would have been very thankful for that needle if they had to cut or you tore! I was cut and tore with nothing, it was horrible. Would have loved anaesthetic first.

Yes, the 2nd came a bit early and quickly - no time for anything! With my 1st, gas and vacuum assist and it was hard work by comparison!

ANSWER

Nope, I tried tho. My second the epidural went through wrong and pierced the fluid three times, I refused the epidural the third time and had two shots of morphine

Seven years later and you can feel the spot and the pain from it as well.

This was my fear with both my births and the reason I refused an epidural. I wasn’t being stoic, just more worried about the epidural

It's amazing how different that procedure is in caring hospital. When I was in Canberra, they rolled me on my side and inserted in for my first. Then the Victorian hospital made me bend over and that's when the trainee stuck me three times right threw. They left me like that for a week, as the fluid from my brain drained down.
It was horrific, they didn't believe me because of my history with migraines.
On the 8th day, I walked into the hospital with my three year old,l beside me and 8 day old, in one arm, the other was holding me up against the wall. I yelled at them and several hours later a doctor withdrew blood from my arm and inserted it into the holes in my spine to plug the fluid back in. I felt normal two hours later.
They never talk about these risks and the pain I've been told will last forever

Yes 3, 2 hospital births all too fast for anything and one planned homebirth.
First one I had everything you can get under the sun and not a single one worked including two loads through my epidural...
so for me natural was better cos I wasn’t all hooked up and getting jabbed for no damn reason Reason lol

ANSWER

Yes the 2nd was just too fast for anything!
