I don’t tell people anything. I have a friend who wears really expensive clothes and when we go out and she gets a compliment she tells them it was on sale online for $19 or something. I just smile, I know the quality and cut is probably more like $300. I do the same now with people from work - it’s nobody’s business and who needs the judgement.

I'm tipping what your friends say is Spot on however you're not ready to hear that yet. You know deep down you spend money on junk but you like how it makes you feel.

You're hurt because you see it as a reflection of you. not good enough, undeserving etc.

That's the hurt

Well i guess they think now is an important time to reign it in & watch every single dollar. We're headed for an economic armageddon. Why do you think the liberal government just started throwing millions of dollars around- these guys are as cheap as usual- it's going to start raining bad times & 3 months from now you will wish you had that $70 back. On the other hand you probably made that florists day.

Water off a ducks back.
People I care about don't question what I spend my own money on. People I don't care about can question it all they like and I don't care 🤷‍♀️

I don't tell people what we spend on. If they do comment I say 'we all have different priorities'. I refuse to engage further. It's none of their business.
