I had this problem a while back and couldn't for the life of me find it. Time went on and it eventually stopped smelling and then one day the kids wanted to play the playstation. That right there should tell you how often they do want to play it lol. So I tried to turn it on and nothing. So I pulled the case off, and there was a dead mouse fried to the circuit board. Yes. That happened. So they could be literally anywhere. It was the grossest month of my life and we avoided the loungeroom at all costs.

If ;you have an air-conditioner it may be in there. I can hear something crawling in ours sometimes. As said above, geckos can be a problem. Also may be a dead possum in the roof cavity? Good luck!

Check under the couch and pull the cushions out and check behind them. I found a very dead mouse on the floor underneath the couch.
The little so and so's had chewed bobbles off the edge of my cushions, and chewed a hole and pulled stuffing out of the main cushions before I found them.
I had firm words with the dog about failing in his duties of even letting me know they were there.

Have you seen the tell tale signs of mice? A dead
Mouse is the most likely culprit. If you have looked everywhere, then the wall space is most likely. All you can do is put up with it really. I’ve had them die in my wall space and tried all the odour masking tips but al have been a waste of time and money.

Could be in the walls. Look for signs of decomposition and then start bashing holes in the walls until you find it.
If you can’t, make sure no one shit their pants.
