Are you the crazy neighbors?

Answered 5 years ago

I just read a story about a vegan lady who took her neighbors to court over them cooking meat on the bbq, and their kids playing in the back yard. Obviously she didn't get far, but it made me wonder what crazy things we have all done.
Recently I got my husband to glue our neighbors old clothes line still as it spun around in the wind and made scraping and clicking sounds and it drove me mad. We did ask if we could fix it a year ago but she said no. This was easier than moving , and no she didn't use the clothes line.
What silly things have bugged you?

We had a lady living next to us who was quite horrible. She walked around the front with a walking frame and she was always moving slowly. She would call a taxi every week and they would always help her to and from the door. But she was miraculously fine in her back yard, hanging washing out every day and trying to look over our fence. She blamed my 3 year old for cracking the fence, a crack that was there when we moved in. She refused to pay half of it. Someone's rubbish had blown into her yard so she assumed it was mine and her brother put it on my front door step. I was really annoyed about that not just because it wasn't mine but because some of it was satay jars and I had a kid with a peanut allergy. Her son came up and he was lovely, apologised for the way she was towards us. We found out she was only 60 but lived her life like she was 90.

We have an old bitch across the street who complains because my kids play outside. They aren't noisy or anything, she can just see them jumping on the trampoline and that bothers her. Also I have too many toys in my back yard and that bothers her. I've told my kids if they see her sticking her head over the fence or if she says anything to them to let me know. I catch her and I'll hit her with a shovel. She also doesn't like my dog because he barks at her when she looks over the fence so this makes him "vicious". Police won't do anything because she doesn't actually come onto our property, but they did respond to her complaints about my dog. They deemed him the world's biggest sook lol. She just looks over the fence from the nature strip as we live on a corner block and she lives across from the side of our yard. We are currently putting screens up that she'll need a ladder if she wants to see over them. She is also on drugs and was out sweeping her front lawn. Like her actual grass, with a broom. And she was butt arse naked. Yup, definitely can't get that screen up fast enough lol.

My neighbour and the neighbours next to her, really do not like me. They glare, if I'm talking to people in my driveway, and they are there, they stand there and stare and my visitors ask WTF is up with them. I've even heard them praising their dog for barking at me when I've been gardening or watering the back lawn. My husband said that wave at him though! Oh well, I don't really care. Sometimes I enjoy knowing my sheer existence bothers them

You must have shit loads of money to take a useless time wasting case to the Supreme Court!!! And then to immediately appeal it! It’s is literally wasting tax payers money. Your money would have been better spent on moving!

An old man lives a few doors from us Once a week or so I see him walking slowly up and down our street. Stopping at each house to stare, before continuing on. A couple of times a day he gets in his car and slowly drives up and down the street. I said good morning to him once as I was on my walk and passed him just before I got to my house and he just scowled at me.
