Why do some people wear good clothes when cooking and cleaning at home ?

Answered 5 years ago

My cousin ruined her silk top when she was cooking Xmas lunch and ruined her knitted top using bleach in toilet in winter

Because it takes longer for me to get changed and do the job, then it does for me to just do the job but actually pay attention to what I'm doing so as not to ruin my clothes. In saying that though, without fail whenever I have to deep fry something or make up a runny batter (like for pancakes or yorkshire pudding) I always seem to be wearing this one dress that has like long flowy arms. Shits nearly caught me on fire or splattered me with mess so many times. Lucky I am always very mindful of what I'm doing in the kitchen.

But, I'd love to find one of those over the head bib things that every wog mum seems to have. You know the ones that have the pockets on the front and tie up at the sides. Like aunt voula had in my big fat greek wedding. That'd be hell convenient. I could clean shit so damn fast.
