My Aunty and cousin decided to Join our table

Would you be rude like my Aunty and cousin
Would you have said sorry we are having a quite tea

It wasn’t rude. She’s family not some aquaintance . It’s dinner at a pub, hardly a romantic setting. People tend to go there to socialise. If you wanted quiet you should have gone elsewhere or stayed at home

I agree with the family bit for sure but did you have to add the rest of it and ruin a decent response?

While I would never join someone without an invitation, you need to stand up for yourself. If you didn't want them to join you then you should have said something. Yes it can be awkward, but the way the world is nowadays if you don't speak up you get treated like a doormat.
