Pissed at hisband

Answered 3 years ago

I had a bad reaction to my first covid shot so asked husband to let work know he won't be there when I have the second one. His work is flexible. It is one the calendar. I have mentioned it at least 5 times in the last week. And sent him a sms reminder But that is not enough.
He has told work he will be there tomorrow when my second jab is due. It is like a big duck you. I now have to pay for taxi to get there and back and hope to God the vomiting, diarrhea reaction I had last time doesn't start until I get home. Also need to find someone to watch the kids who are on school holidays. Not happy. He claims he just forgot it is too late to change his work day. That is bullshit. I am pissed off.

Don’t depend on him hun, if he won’t take the day off to take you and you really want to get it I say sort out a ride there and back. Tell him to take the remaining days off to watch the kids though!

Generally speaking reactions are only to the first not second with Pfizer. With the astra Zeneca is the second not the first.

You've got that the wrong way around.
From QLD health website:
-For the Pfizer (Comirnaty) and Moderna (Spikevax) vaccine, these symptoms are more common after the second dose.
-For the AstraZeneca (Vaxzevria) vaccine, these symptoms are more common after the first dose.
