Thrush on the nipple

Answered 5 years ago

Hi. I stopped breastfeeding 5 years ago and yet I get thrush on my nipple still. Every time I get vaginal thrush my nipple flares up as well. I live in a small town so i dont really get a choice on doctors. My doctor i had 2 years ago was great and put me on a 2 month anti thrush tablet to try and kill it but he left. My doctor now doesn't believe me and says it's just eczema. He won't even look. He said it's impossible to get it on the nipple if you've finished breastfeeding. Bit of a coincidence that this "eczema" flares up every time I get thrush down below. It's driving me insane. So itchy.
Has anyone had in on their nipples while not breastfeeding?

I agree with this advice. Probiotic, daktarin for your nipples and have a good look at your diet. Excess yeast and sugar are good things to be aware of and reduce where you can.
