New partner is circumcised

Answered 1 month ago

I have no experience with a circumcised one. I feel like he knows it because of the way we were doing stuff together. I don’t think I like it.
What are some tips to help without using the foreskin

I’m in the same situation, I’ve been with him a few times now and it’s just not the same. I much prefer a foreskin

I’m the complete opposite. I prefer circumcised and my bf is uncut. We’ve talked about him getting it done, but for now he just keeps it pulled back when he’s hard. Looks pretty close, but there is still some unsightly skin bunched up behind the head. I usually ask him to pull his foreskin back when I see him soft too, but it doesn’t stay that way very long.

What is his reluctance? Is it fear or post op pain or just the fear of the unknown? Will I lose sensitivity, how different will it feel etc?
Coming from a guy who did it through personal choice 6 years ago, I cannot recommend it highly enough. Everything has improved for me, sensation during sex, overall cleanliness (I was thorough prior but there was always still a slight funk by the end of the day, now it's non existent).
Pain post op required 2-3 days of panadene forte mostly during the night, and after 1 week it was virtually pain free. By week 6 it was all action stations again.
Keep at it with him, if you guys are long term and he really wants to please you, he should take the plunge and it won't take long for him to realise how much better it is overall. Good luck!

In answer to OP's question, a good place to start is to remember how much men love their own dicks, circumcised or not, so the thing to do is to say how much you like it, how nice it looks, that you love how it's circumcised etc. That alone usually makes them hard. :)

So tell a little lie if required?! :-)

To the poster below who's trying to persuade her hubby to get circumcised, there's some interesting information in the thread "Sons circumcision" about different outcomes depending on how much skin is taken off, where the cut is made, etc.

If he decides to go ahead, make sure you study up about those so he makes sure you both get the outcome that you prefer.

Hope this helps.

After OH was done a few years ago, I had to change a few things. My default was to pull back the skin before PIV, but that just caused him some discomfort the first few times i did it afterwards. handjobs were more about gliding up and down, rather than gripping and moving the skin up and down. Overall, not really that different. The bit I prefer is the look. It always looks ready for action, and is very neat. Also, it always seems cleaner. I used to worry about infections if he hadn't recently showered. That's not a concern now.

Loves it. Says he now understands why it is so popular and why so many cultures over such a long time have done it.

Sorry if this is TMI, but ... My OH was also circumcised as an adult, before we met. He did it out of personal choice because he'd always hated having a foreskin. He says he'd always though hoodless ones looked better and that when he was having sex the foreskin would just roll around inside his girlfriends. He'd also get pubes trapped under his foreskin :-\

After he got circumcised he says he loves the streamlined look and says that sex feels much better. He describes it as feeling more intimate because he doesn't have the foreskin to roll around like it used to and really can feel the direct contact between his penis and the walls of the vagina. He described it to me as the penis feeling "enveloped" much more that it used to.

He says that when he was younger he used to wish he been circumcised as a baby but now he is now happy he had the choice. I'm glad he's done because it's always been my preference.

But we are both against doing it to babies though.

Circumcised has always been my preference as well. Meanwhile, of all the boys/men that I know that have been circumcised, all have said that they like being done. That said, I have struggled with the decision about having my baby boy circumcised, as you don't want to put them through anything that hurts. But then I want them to have all the benefits of being foreskin free, and my hubby also wants our son to be like him. It's a difficult decision, but I feel it is easier having my son circumcised when he is still too little to remember it, and more difficult leaving the decision to him when he's old enough to decide for himself if he wants to be circumcised. It's a tricky one. I keep changing my mind about it but I'm running out of time to make a final decision.

My husband is cut and says he likes me working my hands in a gentle twisting back and forth motion just behind the head of his penis, around where the pinker skin meets the more normal colour shaft skin. He said he prefers it to a simple back and forward movement.

My hubby just got snipped last year. I highly prefer it. The look, the feel, and now I’m not afraid to give him head randomly. Took 4 years of persuading him.

It must have been a real ordeal for your hubby to get it done as an adult, no?
I know with baby boys, it is much less of a big deal, and it heals really quickly. Plus they never have any memory of it.

How did you persuade him finally? It's big step given it sounds like he was initially reluctant.

I find it really odd that women have a preference I’ve had Both, and it’s just window dressing. The most important thing is how he uses it. A foreskin or a lack of one is no indication of that.

Isn't it OK for women to have a preference? Isn't it similar to men having a preference for small labia or large, big boobs or small boobs, or waxed pubes or thick undergrowth?

I've never been with an UNcircumcised man 🤔 I find the idea of foreskin so intimidating, like wtf do you do with it? Pull it down? Tickle it? (Thats a joke, I wouldn't really tickle it)
I think it'd probably work the same though. A penis is a penis. Put it in your mouth and tell him to guide you. If he complains, tell him to suck his own knob.

hahaha this is funny.... I've never been with a circumcised man so the opposite. I like the skin moving up and down. Watching is face when I give him a handjob..... loves it. His skin on his penis moves over the head really easy and I can feel it during sex moving sometimes.

Why are people so freaked out about this. It's a penis you know what to do. If you have any further questions ask your partner. That's how communication happens. If you can't speak to him openly why bother?

My new bf is 41 and circumcised.... got to say he can really last longer than my uncut ex bf who was younger at 36. Love the look of it. Handjobs a bit strange at first but a bit of licking etc and he's happy ;-) I do find he thrusts harder and deeper than my uncut ex... but I like that so ok with me. Anyone else found that ??

Talk to him about it. I personally think he would be the best person to discuss this with given its his equipment you are struggling with. Surely if you like him and love him its something you can work with. There are more important things in relationships than just sex and tools.
