No. There's no confirmed cases here yet, so it's kindy/school as usual, with increased hygiene practices & avoiding public gatherings. I'll re-evaluate when it arrives here, but the virus will be an issue for at least 6 months so we'll stay normal as long as safely possible.

Our own choice. Husband went to work and everyone there has pulled theirs out. School is empty anyway. With a week left we're just pulling out for now. Will still do work at home, but not going to school. Without trying to be rude about it, there's so many internationals at our area you never know if they've travelled or if they could have it..or if you're everyday people could have it. So just getting out for now

So was the school ok with it? Are you in private or state school? Thanks for your answers x

I know the private school i work at is understanding of parents pulling kids out, in fact some high up government medical chief in the Coronavirus field has suggested that if you can without it being financially/work detrimental, then he’d do it.

No, I’m going according to the school. We are fit & healthy though. But we are social isolating so now going out for the next 2 weeks except school.

And please if you take your kids out of school don’t take them shopping! What is the point then!

I have pulled my primary aged children out. I am still taking them shopping, we have been for food and a pile of craft supplies. My children and I wash hands and face well before all this begun. I constantly remind them to stay well away from others at the shop , also not to touch anything and we have always gone there knowing exactly what we want and been in and out in under 15 minutes. They have stopped click n collect and delivery in my area and I am a single parent so I have no other choice.

No but I am ready to pull her out altogether. She goes to preschool 2 days a week and I can count on 1 hand the amount of full days she has been there. She has asthma and every time she coughs they are ringing me saying " oh she's sick, you have to come get her". No! Give her the fucking ventolin and she will be fine! Not to mention I am getting twice a day calls because she has hit her head. There is like 5 kids and 3 teachers, can y'all not watch them? Also had them try and tell me she has hearing difficulties even though she has been tested by a specialist. She can hear you, she's just ignorant. But the icing on the cake is when they tried to tell me I had to put her in nappies because it's easier for them to change her than remind her to use the toilet. She hasn't had an accident in months at home, but is having multiple a day while she is there because she gets so focused on what she is doing and forgets. But god forbid I tell them they're a bunch of useless dickheads 🤦‍♀️🙄😒

Try another centre. They're not the same. My Ds's centre was horrible, got into a good one for DD and she's thriving. They're supposed to call if your child injures themselves but I've told them no need unless it requires medical attention so they don't - she's very accident prone. They tell me at pick up.

Although I'll never go emergency contact for anyone again after my friend dosed & dumped her kid them drove 2 hours away. I had to cancel my appointment because apparently they can't administer Panadol so either I picked him up or they called an ambulance. F*cking pissed off by that one.

Permanently or just temporarily? I'm considering the cost of something that we won't be using for who knows how long vs not being able to get a place when this blows over
