Inflamed cervix

I just had a pap smear and my doctor said my cervix was very inflamed and bled at the slightest touch. She said it could just be an infection but now I’m stressing about my Pap smear result. Has anyone had this before?

Cervicitis is an inflammation and irritation of the cervix. Symptoms of cervicitis can be similar to vaginitis, with vaginal discharge, itching or pain with intercourse. Cervicitis can be caused by a sexually transmitted infection. Most common are chlamydia and gonorrhea.

It’s not that. I have no pain, discharge or irritation at all. Was just discovered during Pap smear. And it better not be an STD coz I’ve been faithful to my husband for 20 years!

My gp also said this. But Pap smear came back completely normal

I did have this back in 2013 and it turned out to be cervical cancer. Don't stress though it could be a bacterial infection, sti etc

Stay positive medicine is so advanced these days :)
