High school rough idea needed...

Answered 3 years ago

Just wondering if anyone knows roughly how much a yr 7 education will cost? Books and fee wise. I know uniform is $500 and camp $350. Awaiting official documents which is anyones guess but with xmas coming up id love if anyone with older kids could share a rough estimate of fees and book you pay. Just as a rough guide. :-)

Instead of asking on an Australia wide forum, go on your local chat page and ask parents with kids who attend the school.

Public? Private? Compulsory uniform? Laptop/ iPad compulsory? Fundraising for camps? Leavers shirt compulsory? Number of excursions? So many variables, you really have to ask your school.

You should be able to access this information from your schools website. My daughter is in year 7 this year and general school fees were about $200 plus an extra $175 for the levy. A $500 uniform is absolutely ridiculous! Our school camp was $550 but kids flew out of town so well worth the money

No information is avail at this point in time, which is why I am asking. As stated in my post I am awaiting the information to come out but wanted a rough idea of fees in Melb. I know high schools vary but im stressing over money with lockdown and no work.
