Would you report- lockdown violation

Answered 4 years ago

So my FIL is an “essential service” so sees that as an exemption to do whatever he wants. Swans around shopping centres all day, still visits all his mates etc etc. Not following stay at home orders at all. Would you report him? I’m pretty sure he wouldn’t know it was me, he’s telling everyone what he’s been doing.

No.
It’s just big brother getting us to all start doing the watching for us. This whole thing is bullshit.
I was not really opinionated on it all and just went along with it till my grandpa was on Hospice care, we knew he only have about 6 weeks left at best we have watched the last 6 months as the cancer took over. He was to the point where he could no longer walk, lost a lot of his communication and was sleeping for long periods.
I was diagnosed with Covid after going to the doctor complaining of my asthma (I have had it my whole life but it gets worse or better depending on my fitness, I have been very busy for the last 14 months and have done no cardio and only surfed, and no lap swimming. Iv been noticing my breathing for the past few month and fully expected winter to hit hard when the first cold spell hit, which it did. After 3 weeks I went in to get some steroids in case I had a bad attack and the new doctor made me get tested.
My grandfather was made to be tested because we had nurses coming daily at this point because of his state. He tested positive.
He died 18 days later and they listed his cause of death as Covid. He showed ZERO symptoms. And CANCER killed him. We are not the only ones questioning loved ones “Covid” death.
It’s for this reason I whole heartedly don’t beleive the numbers, and we are shutting down our freedom for something that is such a high survival rate.

They have to draw a line somewhere. Otherwise you could say no one ever dies of a disease. Instead they died of blood loss, their heart stopped, their brain stopped functioning, their lungs didn't work etc.

I ask because I know numerous people out not doing essential shopping etc. Doing work on properties to sell, getting friends to do unpaid painting and work. Another one qho plans on driving an hour away to visit more friends. Claims working but its just helping mates. No pay.

In nsw I've seen them say dob them to crime stoppers.

I would. I'm just as sick of all this as everyone else. It pisses me off no end that we are staying home to protect others - and they just do whatever they want. I'd love to be able to take the kids shopping and out and about everyday, but its just not worth it.

I think a lot of people are like him and not an essential worker, let it go. I thought you meant if you knew of a party or people using gyms - you know big stuff. I would report big things - your fil is a dill.

I would certainly tell him what I thought of his behaviour. And I’d be avoiding him having direct contact with my household. As for reporting him, you need to have a specific offence and some evidence.
