However you decide to go, I always have a number of cans of 4 bean mix and french dressing in the back. This makes a very quick and delicious impromptu salad that does not need preparation if you run low on anything.

Maybe she works hard. Maybe her partner gets paid for work. Maybe they don't waste their money

Or how about this crazy idea: they can spend their money however they like and it's none of your business!

It's really not that much considering the amount of food etc being used and consumed.

You will need 50 face masks and 50 green crosses on the floor so everyone social distances

Weigh 100g portions for each person of potato salad, coleslaw and Greek salad and serve them chilled in noodle boxes from the reject shop, pop a disposable spork wrapped in a napkin and an antibacterial wipe in the sIde of the noodle boxes.

Get some dead chooks and divide amongst noodle boxes too, give everyone a bbq foil tray and they can use that as a plate

Serve iceblocks for dessert

I'm having a bbq for 45 people. I suppose the amount will depend on how many salads I'm introducing.

I'll be giving everybody a rib eye steaks along with

1 kilo pasta pesto salad
1 kilo Moroccan couscous salad
500 grams mixed leaves
1 kilo potato salad
And 2 kilos of Coleslaw (as I find this a popular side salad)

I'll also be serving boiled baby spuds with it and bread rolls.

Look up salad recipes for an idea on quantities, like 8 potatoes for 4 people so you would times that recipe by 12 or 13. That's how I do it when I have to cook for a large amount of people.

Hi OP I think about 100g estimate is a good guide. So perhaps 5kg of each salad plus an extra kilo of good luck, so 6kg of each salad would be good. Try also offering bread rolls, that can help it stretch. We've worked off around 100-150g per person for 80 guests and while we did have food left over, it wasn't enough to think we over catered.
Make sure there's bread rolls, butter and protein as well. Sometimes a large undressed garden salad is a lifesaver as its cheap, is going to make allergy prone people happy and is a thrifty non messy alternatives for other salads.
What kind of event are you having?

We have an incredibly large family and do this often. Depending on the event we usually ask people to bring a plate/dish to share. This guarantees there will be a good variety of hot and cold dishes. If your event isn’t a plate share type of event then I would recommend using those throw away aluminum tray you get from woolies. For 50 people I reckon 3 trays of each salad would suffice. 3 potato salad, 3 Greek salad and 3 fried rice. Also throw in 2-3 potato bakes and a chicken pasta bake or spaghetti dish. Team that up with some snags, steaks and some kebabs and you’ve got a solid shindig. Also don’t forget nibbles for guests as they arrive.. cob loaves are easy, cheap and well liked. A grazing platter with cheese, kabana, bikkies, dips etc and some cheap easy oven foods like Mini Sausage rolls, chicken nibbles, spring rolls etc. make sure there is an easy dessert for kids if kids are attending, a few boxes of paddle pops will keep them happy. Hope this is helpful x
