I've had 4 children and I still cringe if I see a woman giving birth (on tv) Does anyone else feel this way?

No. I cry every time. It's such an emotional time and it's such an amazing event. Also, I feel bad that I couldn't deliver naturally myself.

There's an instagram birthing page, and it's very visual and I'm grossly addicted and horrified

They always make it so dramatic on tv.( not talking reality shows) Mums screaming their lungs out in agony. My girls see this and although they want kids one day, they are fearful. I tell them every birth is different. I had no pain with mine and maybe they won’t either. I hate how the soapies and movies make it look like a life or death moment.

Haha. I had a lot of pain with both of mine and I screamed. A lot. For some birth is just like it is in the movies.

I wish I had movie births. They look so quick and the recovery time is just a quick scene 😂

Yes for some it is but for others it isn’t. I just hate that all my kids see on tv are women screaming. Some people have calm births. Two of mine were easy but one was screaming hell.

Yeah i thought it was the opposite, movie births with make up on, thin beautiful shaved legs, couple of whimpers and baby is out, perfect hair afterwards- totally not like the 3 real life ones i had.

Nope. I’m the opposite. Love pregnancy, loved labour and birth. Seeing a birth (even the completely non accurate movie ones) makes me tear up and my youngest is almost 3. I would love to be a surrogate one day to be able to experience pregnancy and birth again.

It is a life or death moment..... heaps of women die in childbirth, as do their babies. I hate it when women who had easy births minimise what others went through. 🤭

I do the same thing. With each pregnancy I always forgot what birth and labour felt like until watching a movie or show and it brought it all back to me 😂
