I just saw on the news that WA schools have banned overseas excursions as of tomorrow. Thoughts?

I feel sorry for the students at my kids school who were about to head off on the trip of a lifetime with their specialist program. I think if the parents say it’s ok, then they should be allowed to go. Teachers should also be allowed to go if they wish ( and say no if they wish ).

Without saying too much, my kid is one of those who was going in June. I guess we have to be safe anyway we can but it doesn't make me feel better about the ban ;(

She is but she understands. We've been saying for a few weeks now that the possibility of it being cancelled is very real. If the ban isn't lifted we'll probably have a holiday here in Australia. The country sure needs a boost and boy do we need holiday :)

NSW has done this too. My son is supposed to go to Japan in September. Obviously a lot can happen between now and then but I have prepared himself for the very real possibility of not getting to go.

I wouldn’t want my kid going on an overseas excursion without me.
Not for the virus for the fact they may end up in Quarantine for Weeks wherever they are or at the entrance
