TV versus X Box

My husband yells at our son for spending hours on his xbox but has no problem letting our girls watch movies all day long..What do you think? Is it fair to go mad at the boy and not the girls? They’re both having screen time. Why is one worse than the other. X box games are just fun games, nothing violent.

Depending what the games are, I'd rather my kids play games than zombie out in front of the tv. But I do think it's unfair to treat the screen time different for the different kids.

My kids only play games like Mario karts but they are time limited because they just get agro at the game, at each other and just go feral. We could watch movies all day and not have that problem. So while I don't understand it and it's not really fair, I can see why xboxes etc are time limited even though TV is screen time too.
