Yep. Still have a house though. Hopefully it's all ok now. Crossing my fingers. It's been quite the experience though. Lots of lessons about being self sufficient if you don't have power for a week.

We are on holidays on the south east coast at the moment and, at this stage, the fire has gone around us and we are only worried about embers now. I have a lot of family here who have been evacuated and all the roads out are closed so we're screwed if it comes back towards us, but at this point we've been told it's safer to stay put than to try and leave. I feel so sorry for those who have been evacuated and had to leave and have lost everything. It's so heart breaking to watch this literally happen around me, but I am so thankful that for now my kids and I are safe for now.

Yes I have a dear friend in a small coastal town just near eden. She’s in a very very bad predicament. She’s at risk of losing everything and there’re not escape she will be on the beach if the fires aren’t kept at bay.
Had friends evicted on the Gold Coast, But all passed and my sisters property burnt down south but the house was saved (300acres) The fires came to my brothers fence on the mid nsw coast.
Had a lot of friends holidaying in broulee over New Years. One managed to get out on nyd the other haven’t heard from them yet.

We are in the hinterland of the Gold Coast, and it’s so dry here. All we can do it hope it stays away from here or else it will be bad.

It’s so so bad.
Let’s all hope for rain.
