Where does everyone buy their mattress from?

Answered 4 years ago

I've never had to buy one. We're after a queen size mattress. I thought about one of the ones in a box, but with no reviews, they seem a lil risky.

Forty winks. They often have 40% off sales. I did consider the mattress in a box but with so many varying reviews I didn’t want to risk it. I prefer to test the mattresses out in store.

Sleeping Duck came out tops in the Choice testing. It is in a box. I am seriously looking to get a new one, and considered this, but it is quite thick, I think about 30 cm, from memory, but check that.

Mine would have to go on a quite high old brass bed. So I am still looking.

There is a bed shop called Sleeping Giant, in Brisbane, and a friend of mine bought a Queen mattress there, and it is incredibly comfy. It was the middle one of 3 in the luxury / price range.
They don't advertise, so their prices are lower than the companies that do TV advertising.

Sleeping Giant bed shops may be all over the country. You can look them up on line.

I have only ever bought singles as we have always been given good quality mattresses. I think going to a furniture store where you can try them and find the best within your budget is the safest option.
