I laugh when ppl tell me it's going to get easier. As I have a little one and 2 teenagers. Ppl see me with my toddler and don't realise I have older ones. I always set them straight and say it doesn't get easier it's still hard but just different!!

Can you really compare? It’s easy to forget what it was like parenting a 1yo when you have teens. The challenge is always there when you’re a parent, it just changes. Perhaps show more empathy to your friend because the ‘you think that’s bad attitude’ is completely unhelpful and so dismissive.

Bet you all thought motherhood was going to be fun and easy

No, I don’t find other people’s struggles amusing. I have a 13 year old and 8 month old and both come with their own set of difficulties. Being a parent of any aged child is going to come with challenges and we should be lifting each other up not trying to compete on who has it worse.

Iv got a 20yo 18yo twins and 17yo and a suprise baby 3 yo.
It’s different hard.
Parenting young children is by far and large more physically tiring, like don’t even come close to ranking in the same league.

Yes teenagers are different challenges but I don’t think it’s harder just different.
They are both equally hard hard. And both very different
