Paedamin. It’s a decongestant and cold medicine. When the kids get a cold and have stuffy nose I give them this and they fall asleep within ten minutes. I tried it as I don’t sleep well and it knocked me out too. I asked doc if it’s ok to take regularly. He said yes, it’s just a antihistamine. I get the best nights sleep with it.

That’s probably why phenergon? Works as it’s an antihistamine.

So I do this trick, you start at your toes and work up your body contracting your muscles one group at a time ( scrunch the toes, tighten your calves then quads etc) then release them as you slowly breathe out, I will even scrunch my eye lids and relax them. Usually I am asleep a few minutes after this. It doesn’t always work if I am thinking too much but it works when I really need it.

I put on a sleeping meditation video from YouTube. It gives me something to concentrate on rather than the million thoughts in my head

Yes see doctor for sleeping assistance.
Over the counter you can get antihistamine based sleeping tablets and lose dose melatonin.

I fall asleep really quickly. But then I'm awake between 2-4am most nights. And it doesn't matter if I go to sleep later or earlier, it's always the same grr so if anyone has remedies for that I'd like them haha
