Victorian prison sentence has been extended

Answered 4 years ago

This whole state is like one big jail. We have 4x more more cases in lockdown than nsw has and they are out and about living life. Almost doesn’t make sense

It is all Dans plan for more power and control. We have 14 cases and are still in prisoned in our home. Jobless, penniless, no savings, no super left and no hope but a least he has his pension to look forward to while generations to come to pay for the splurging being done. The emotional toll is getting hard, counsellors are all full so its a case of toughen up and stay home. Minus a walk. Nothing to look forward to anymore and nothing brings joy either.

It isn't the fault of Victorians. Go back we had it under control and then the hotel fiasco and security being infected and allowed about and of course it got out. Lockdown at the hotel quarantine was a failure and its their fault as has already been proven a number of times. Alot of us have been home bound since February when we were first made aware of the virus due to immune problems. Many of us have abided every rules big small and even if it grates our nerves for the greater good. A lot of us have lost all our savings and income. And now struggle. A lot of us had symptoms similar to covid including breathing issues. But are not positive. Yet we have done the right thing and get punished for it.

I am frustrated 8 months have gone by and we are no better off. It is not Victorian peoples faults, its the incompetant governments fault. The aged care workers going to and from different facilities spreading covid.

Before blaming the good vic do ur research! We are not all rule breakers BUT WE ARE ALL FED UP WITH PRISIONERS IN OUR OWN HOME. Due to Dans incompetence.

No. Not Dan's fault. The fault of ignorant horny hotel guards and morons attending rallies. He's trying to clean up the mess that idiots in Victoria created.

The hotel quarantine was a failure but not specifically the Premier - the department heads who made the decisions should be held accountable for lack of foresight. Being a leader signing off on those arrangements. It was not difficult to see that was the weak link too much cronyism in the public service. Good competent people can’t compete for jobs because it’s not based on merit.

Dan Andrews was in charge of the quarantine. Therefor it is his fault for not taking the police and DF help offered but instead using gumtree to find 'security guards' of course you wont find professional workers on gumtree. His mess his faukt we are paying for it. I hope he is voted out.

Jesus, why don't you look at the bigger picture.
They outsource to shitty private security companies because the liberal government privatize everything, and to save money private companies cut corners and do dodgy.
This is a perfect example but you're just blaming Andrew's. It's a way bigger and deeper problem with the government!

Then Scotty needs to do something BUT he wont because instead of working for the people who voted for them they look after their own interest. He should be stepping in and opening boarders. Telling Dan Andrews enough and fixing it all but he wont.

I'm in WA. It sucks when families are separated by states and can't be reunited even on compassionate grounds, but things are pretty much back to normal, so I appreciate the border closure

If you live for let's say 80 years, being in lockdown for even a whole year isn't that much of a chunk of your life. Take a different mindset and think 'how can I use this time?'.

My children, partner and I miss our time in lockdown. I'd happily embrace it again.

If parents have the mindset that the family is imprisoned, of course the kids are going to be affected negatively.

My kids coped reasonably well with lock down. One got upset a few times he couldn't hang out with his friends who had all gone to another friends house.

It's people like that who think one rule for them and one for everyone else...

How is it saving lives if more are dying here in lockdown than in the other states that aren’t in lockdown? We have been in some type of lockdown since March yet are numbers aren’t great however other states seem to be managing it and they are somewhat free to move around and live their lives

Yes they were rising for a while because everyone was being tested. To be expected if you understand basic fundamentals. You are the funny one if you haven’t noticed them dropping yet. And you’re fecking hilarious for not noticing that in Victoria the numbers are way, way higher than in nsw.
