We're renovating our bathroom and hubby wants his and her sinks

Answered 4 years ago

I don't understand why this is a thing. Can somebody enlighten me. Are there any benefits or is it just for the look? Thanks :)

I'd get them. My husband likes to trim his beard over the bathroom sink but he doesn't like to clean his shit up. A his and her sink would still give me plenty of space to use without his fucking dumbledore hair everywhere. Seriously Thomas, clean your gd shit up or I stg Imma shave it off in your sleep!!!
(He has been on this site before, I fully expect him to see this)

Plus, I have like a million hair products, so this would be good for my shit too.

Anyway, thats why I would get them. But, you do what you think is best.

^ I second this. We have his & her basins, and double shower (two shower roses) as well. You'll love it!

Yes! I understand the pain of bread trimming myself. The hair goes everywhere. Gross.

Reading this reminded my of my hubby, and I have now just ordered him a shaving apron! Cheap on eBay. Goes around neck then has suction cups onto the mirror to catch the hair.

^^well if he was a 4 year old he wouldn't be shaving his face would he 😏 What's the problem with using something to make clean up easier?

Go with his and hers, more room and looks better. Yuou have your own sink and space. What's not to love? I have a single pokie space so def no doubles but if i could choose i would opt for two and more space

I'd like his and her sinks. I'd also like his and hers houses!

You lose bench space and get an extra sink to clean. I really regret getting the double. How often do you both brush your teeth at the same time anyway?

OMG I miss my double sink, until you mentioned it I forgot about it though. If you have a large en-suite go for it - I say. I think it is a waste in a normal bathroom.

I'd rather have 1 sink and extra bench space. Although our ensuite is small and hubby only uses the ensuite for a shower, he uses the main bathroom for teeth/ shaving.

I’m in the same situation, hubby wants a double sink when we redo our bathroom. But I don’t understand why. We’ve had double sinks in rentals previously and all it does is double my cleaning as my husband won’t clean his own sink.

We have his and her sinks. I love it. I don’t have to clean up his mess tho I often do. I’ve got my stuff in my place and he has his stuff in his place. I don’t get his toothpaste spit on my stuff or his shavings. And we can clean our teeth at the same time without getting in each other’s way.
