Nope, never. Don't care enough to bother over a few dollars.

You must be well off if you can afford to lose average $8.50
I don’t want to be charged for 2 hairsprays instead of 1

Well I'm not as wealthy as that lady who spends $7 per day on her kid's lunch at the canteen. Maybe I would be if I checked my receipts!

EVERY TIME. Easily 3 out of 5 times I’m at the service counter getting things fixed. Woollies is far worse than Coles. I get overcharged stuff so many times. I get charged for more items than what Ive bought. It’s great I get refunds but I’d rather have them not waste my time and get it right the first time. In my last shop I took back tomatoes, a cucumber, avocados and a bag of carrots. All over charged. Got about $12 back but how much money are they making off people who don’t check receipts?

Probably not enough to cover the money they're losing from people pinching stuff & ringing it up incorrectly on purpose (e.g. ringing up fancy apples as brown onions)

Hardly ever. I usually just pay attention while they are scanning to make sure mark downs go through. Also I generally use the same service people who I know do a good job scanning.

This is hard to do when you’ve done a huge shop by yourself. I’m still unloading while they’re scanning stuff thru. And it doesn’t matter whether they do a good job at scanning or not. The check out operators don’t know that the item you bought was meant to be on sale for $5 off. They’ll just scan and pack.

Sounds like you shop without your kids

I always shop with my 2 kids actually (1.5y and 3.5y if you must know). By markdowns I'm meaning those orange stickers at woolies, I'm not checking that every item on special goes through for the right price. I do keep an eye on the scanned list though and if something in particular is on big special I'll watch that go through. I was referring to good scanners as the op mentioned having items double scanned. Probably a good habit to check your receipts, but I've just never really bothered unless something didn't seem right.

Always but only after I get home and put my feet up

Yes I do. Not at the checkout but I do stop out the front and check it. I can't count how many times I've been over charged. I'd rather find out there, than have to turn around and come back or worse still, call to make a complaint
