I go to bed early like 7 pm, my phone is on vibrate so sometimes it wakes me up if someone rings, but my text tone is silent so everyone can text all they like. However if you text while I'm asleep I'll probably reply to it at 4am when I wake up and go to work.
But I don't really text a lot of people so 75% of the people that might text me. Would be awake that early or in the next hour anyway.
I probably would not ring between 9-6am unless URGENT

Is this really the most important issue going on in your life right now?

In this day and age, getting a text message is no big deal at any time of the day. My phone is set to night mode after 10pm and any texts or phone calls will be delivered silently. If someone calls twice in the space or 5 mins (it will come through with noise as it’s obviously an important phone call) otherwise it will go straight to voice mail. You just need to spend more time educating yourself. No need for drama as there is none. You should consider yourself extremely lucky!

I definitely do to people I know have their phone on do not disturb. Or to my mum who I know won’t be bothered by it if I do text at that time. Most people are aware of texts but they’re not alerts to danger as some phone calls can be that are late

If you don't want to be disturbed, put your phone on silent.

9pm is still early and 8am is late. So yes, I’d text. But, I mainly fb message if it’s not important. The message won’t wake them, they can open it next time they’re on Facebook.

It’s a text. Not a phone call. You answer them in your own time, and if you don’t want to be bothered by them after 9pm then turn off your phone. Don’t create drama where there’s none

For me personally 10pm isn’t that late
I have my phone on do not disturb so it doesn’t matter if people text (funnily enough I set this up because my mum used to like texting me at 5am - you’re up mumsy, I am not! Lol)
