New restrictions in VIC
Answered 4 years ago
I live in WA but am watching what is happening in VIC. Some of the restrictions would be physically impossible where I live 8f the same thing had to be implemented here. I live further than 5km from our closest supermarket for starters. Is there anyone in VIC in that situation?

I am relatively suburban so I don’t have the distance issues but I am doing all the necessary paperwork for my partners business to stay open and function, including permits and a covid safe plan.
In terms of food and things, stupidity is sweeping the state and our supermarkets are pretty much empty. I’ve put the whole family on HelloFresh 6 nights a week and we get take away the other night. I do an online order for essentials once a week which comes half fulfilled - we just make do. Thank god I don’t have fussy kids.

Yes. You can travel to nearest shops which is 30 minutes away. My problem is being told to leave kids home. Like hello kids with disabilities no matter the age can not be home alone. My shopping centre down the road doesnt allow for social distancing and has one entry which is also the exit as they have chosen to renovate during covid restriction of all times. Its a complete mess be thankful you dont have idiots in ur state ruining everything you stayed home for.

I'm in QLD. We have those idiots.
ike me last week, waiting for the next lift at the library as they're plastered with '2 people only' on them & two people already in the first one. Four people appeared out of nowhere & crammed in behind me, one coughing his guts up. When exiting I had to shoulder charge to get past the people already trying to get into the lift. No distancing OR common courtesy!
Tomorrow I'm taking the stairs.

Umm you're allowed to take the kids to the store if they can't be left at home they made that pretty clear

There are exceptions for single parents, kids with disabilities, parents whose partner is in the armed forces, etc.

There are exceptions for people in situations like yours. The rules are just to stop people from driving around for the sake of it in cities where there is a much higher population density.

Nope I’m looking forward to it - only way we are going to stop it. I hate it of course but people are not doing what they are supposed to.
