All those answers are helpful. When my son was Kindy age, we bought him a Leap Frog LeapPad. You can download games that teach you how to write letters, spell small words, count, read etc..while having fun at the same time.

Kindy kids need to learn correct pencil grip, writing their name and reading it, reading, recognising and writing numbers 1-10 and the names and the sounds of letters, also using scissors correctly. As someone else has said, Reading Eggs and Mathletics, have him watch PlaySchool everyday, plus lots of free play, painting, coloring, sticking, singing, rhymes, reading stories, play doh, water play, bubbles, building, sorting, cooking, gardening.
