Deli worker- people eat them straight away all the time. Never had a complaint.

I vividly remember eating them unboiled as a kid. But now with kids of my own, fuck that. I'll boil them first. Plus, didn't a bunch of people get fucked up by them in South Australia from eating them unboiled? Like paralysed and shit.

There was salmonella poisoning from salami, maybe you’re thinking of that case. People died from that.

Pretty sure the packet says you have to cook them before consumption. Which is probably to cover them for when someone eats them raw and gets sick.

No, I never boil them. Specially if I am taking them for a snack while camping or boating.
