Yes we do. Mostly use it to be able to contact whoever is watching the kids because they are all bloody hopeless at answering their phones, but the kids will answer the homw phone no worries lol

No but I was thinking I should for emergencies. My daughter is 5 and we have showed her how to use the emergency dial on our phones but our phones could be anywhere in an emergency.

Sorry short answer no.

I have one for emergencies, my kids have been taught to call 000 if Dad comes to the house and just say ‘hello we need the police , dad is here , our address (until they repeat it) mum asked me to hang the phone up‘ and hang up immediately.
The kids are finally old enough to understand the urgency.
A dvo is just a piece of paper!!!
He got immediate parole after serious breaches.
Also how to call for other emergencies.

We also have a safe t card device with gps tracking on it that alerts a call centre and they can listen into everything happening and know exactly where we are.

It’s also handy when I have misplaced my mobile lol

Thank you for your response. I am sorry you and your family are going through that but good on you for training your kids.

My phone (I realise I say phone when I mean mobile) is never in one spot, so reading this, I think we should.

The number is still connected (NBN) because I can't be bothered spending hours on the phone trying to get someone who barely speaks English to understand what I want.

But there's no phone attached & no phone plan.

No. We are on nbn, so would need a voip phone, but the internet isn't that stable, so no certainty it would be working if we used it anyway.
