Why are some old people rude ?

Answered 5 years ago

I visit my nanna once a fortnight on the weekend and every time I am there her neighbour pops in and stays for hours and won’t fuck off when I do hints. She visits my nanna every wed for morning tea even if my nanna isn’t well or neighbour isn’t well
My nanna is too gutless to stand up for herself

Doesn’t mean to say she isn’t lonely. She is from a time when you were apart of a community.

I think so too. Perhaps the neighbour needs someone else besides your nan. Lots of people are lonely and isolated these days.

Either she is lonely and wants some company or thinks your nan is lonely and wants some company. She is not being rude if no one has told her to stop coming. If she’s never been told then she’s assuming she’s always welcome. Maybe she really likes your company too. Maybe you take yummy food. There is going to come a time when your busy life prevents you from visiting your nan as often as you do now and you will be greatful that your nan has someone to check on her and keep her company.

Perhaps she just likes you. For some strange reason, as you seem quite nasty. If your nana welcomes her into her home and doesn’t say ‘sorry come back later, I have a visitor’ then neighbour isn’t rude.
