Mine is a lovely woman, just not my sort of person. I can't relate to her & find her quite annoying. But it's not like she does anything bad, I just don't particularly get on with her! She's very sort of spiritual and airy-fairy, touchy-feely, "crunchy" I think they call it - and I'm SO not! She's really good with the kids though and they love her to bits.

My nice thing is, she gave birth to my wonderful husband. I don't know her. Neither does he. And it's also nice that our children will never meet a person like her.

My ex-MIL is wonderful. She took the kids for me so I could have a break after my baby was born. She always takes an interest in their lives. She understands that her son made very bad choices which is why I keep my children away from him but also that I think she is a great mother and grandmother which is why I encourage a relationship for her and my kids. All of my children are her grandchildren even the ones not biologically related to her. She is a hard worker, very smart and really nice to others around her. I could keep listing things that makes her a good person.

Mine was a wonderful friend to me. She was totally selfless, doing everything for her family and in my opinion, had a shitty life because of it. We spoke daily (email or phone) and I really missed her when she passed away. Also wish she had been closer for the kids and to spoil.

She lives on the other side of the world, that’s really nice.

Sometimes she takes short pauses between sentences and that's nice.

My sister's mother in law is great, they have such a fantastic relationship! I'm sure they have their struggles at times, but they seem so close

My ex mother in law is nice, a little overbearing and controlling but i think she means well and she's never done anything to harm me or the kids (more i can say for new mother in law)

She lives in another state, thankfully 😅

She lives 8 hours drive away and is too self absorbed to have anything to do with us.

My mil is very supportive of my career she says why aren’t you the boss yet? you are clever and work hard!

My in-laws are amazing. I trust them more than my own mother.

My in laws are great. Living in another state probably does help a little, but they are always looking out for us and give us helpful advice when we ask. Sure there are some things they do that are annoying, but no different to my parents being annoying at times too, and we don't expect any of them to be perfect. Our kids love seeing all their grandparents.

My in-laws are fantastic. Weve been on a few family holidays together and we all get along great. There are there for us 100% but are never interfering. They are genuinely interested in us and our kids. If the kids tell them they have a test later in the week, the in-laws will remember and call them to ask how they went. They even help me look after my elderly mother. They give her lifts if she ever needs to go anywhere. I could go on and on! They are perfect and I feel so sorry for anyone that doesn’t get along with their in-laws. It is so nice to be a part of such a supportive family.

My MIL is just such a great person. I love her and am very lucky to have married into a nice family.

She is always trying to do the right thing. Even if misguided: she does everything out of a place of love it’s never self serving.

My MIL (and FIL) are fantastic. I get along with them better and are closer to them than my own parents
