Deleting message? Thoughts

Last night I was talking to my crush on IG messenger and I ended the conversation with ‘have a good night’ and he responded ‘I’m in bed now’. As I was replying with ‘have sweet dreams’ and before I hit send he deleted that message and replaced it with ‘thanks’. Why would he delete the message he was in bed? So weird

Maybe he thought it sounded suggestive when that wasn't his original intention? Or suddenly thought it wasn't the version of himself he was looking to portray to (presumably) his crush.

I don't know how IG works but could it have just been a slipped finger or something?
